Firstly, happy new year! The festive season is at an end, turkeys have returned to reasonable prices, the snow has gone and I have a new hat. So it's time for a fresh start: open the curtains and breathe in the cold air of January. Give up smoking, join a gym, get a pilot's license - whatever you gotta do, I suppose it's time to do it. This week will be discussing all things relating to 'Fresh Starts'.

I watched 'Alexander' on TCM last night. Had to sit through several hours of pan-erotic intrigue, pan-European accents and Colin Farrell trying to act 'heroic yet feminine' just to get to the only bit where he fights an elephant. And it wasn't even that good an elephant fight.
ReplyDeleteThey showed Catwoman on TCM tonight. I think they've gone ironic. I actually came on here looking for a poetry article I read about on Facebook, but it seems to have gone now.
